James Black, The missing files and Conan's Suspicion of Chris Vineyard

In a later case the Junior Detective League meets a foreigner named James Black. He's an Englishman who gets kidnapped when he's mistaken for a celebrity.

At the end of the case it is revealed that he was called to Japan by Akai Shuichi. He talks about Akai cutting his long hair. Then Shuichi talks about his sweet heart rejecting him and that he'll make her pay. It seems he's talking about Vermouth.

Ran begins to remember seeing Akai Shuichi somewhere before. And Shuichi is shown outside Mouri's detective agency as if he's investigating there.

Then Vermouth's dartboard is revealed with pictures of Conan Ran and Sherry. On Conan's picture "Cool Guy" is written, and on Ran's "Angel" is written. And she throws a dart at Sherry's which is covered with an "X" showing she is her target.

Conan finds out from Takagi that all the files connected to Mouri Kogoro went missing from the metropolitan  police department. Conan thinks they may have been stolen by the Men in Black. He thinks it may be a trap to lure him out  because whoever stole them, sent them back to the police in a sealed envelope.

Also, Conan suspects that one of the other suspects at the Haido Hotel case was also a member of the black organization, because they would have had to be there to give Pisco their handkerchief. He suspects Chris Vineyard because right after the incident, she went into hiding and announced her hiatus from work. She is the daughter of Sharon Vineyard. Conan says "she is the most suspicious...I don't wanna believe it though" This is because his mom is friends with Sharon Vineyard.

Conan then asks Agasa to investigate a Chris Vineyard fan site to get information on her.

After a case at Jodie's apartment, Conan and Hattori are suspicious of Jodie hiding something in her apartment. That is her pictures of Conan and the others she has behind her mirror in her bathroom. Conan also refers to two other people he has to check out. That is probably Akai and Araide.
